Students will practice using a combination of the following:

  1. Solo

  2. Drills with a partner

  3. Impact pad drills with a partner

  4. Impact drills using a punch/kick bag or free standing dummy

  5. Controlled two person practices with a partner

  6. Controlled sparring with a partner

Deliberate practice is a structured, goal-oriented, and effortful method of practicing that focuses on improving specific skills by pushing beyond one's current abilities, receiving continuous, informed feedback, and refining performance through repeated cycles of practice and reflection.

Students learn to monitor themselves, recognise mistakes and make corrections.
